Rule Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the run maximum? Poco is playing the 6 run maximum while Coquitlam is playing 4 runs. The home team rules would prevail for the game and this should be clarified before the beginning of each game in the meeting with the umpires. The last inning of the game is open. It is up to the umpires to clearly state to each team when the last inning has begun.
Do we play seven innings? The regulation game for PeeWee is seven innings. There is a time limit on games so it may not be that often that seven innings are played. The game length should be managed to 2.5 hours. During the weekday, no inning can start after 7:45 in the month of April and 8:15 from May to the rest of the season.
Is the mercy rule in effect? Yes, if a team is ahead by 10 runs or more after 4.5 innings if they are last at bat or 5 innings if they are first then the game ends.
