Pitching Rules As per BCMBA
1.
6 innings in a calendar week
2.
NOT more than 3 innings in a calendar day (need 2 nights rest after 3)
3.
6 innings for the tournament
4.
Calendar week is from 12:01AM Monday to 12:00 PM (midnight) the following Sunday
5.
Delivery of one pitch to a batter is considered an inning
6.
A pitcher who is withdrawn from the mound in a game may not return to the mound
in that same game.
7.
All pitchers coming in “cold” shall be allowed 10 warm up pitches
8.
PITCHERS MUST PRINT AND SIGN BOTH
SCORE SHEETS AT THE END OF GAME FOR EVERY INNING PITCHED - BOTH SCORE SHEETS
MUST BE HANDED INTO CONCESSION AT END OF GAME. – RECORD PITCHERS JERSEY NUMBERS
ON SCORE SHEETS.
Player Eligibility
1.
All teams shall be composed of not more than 13 players
2.
Teams may pick up player(s) from the tadpole division only when short of
players. The pickup player may play all positions except pitcher and catcher.
The pickup must wear his own uniform & and may play on one team only. The name
of the pickup must be provided to the tournament director 20 minutes prior to
the start of the game. FAILURE TO REPORT PICKUP PLAYER WILL RESULT IN HIS
INABILITY TO PLAY.

ALL
players bat.
4.
ALL
players shall play more innings than they sit. No player shall sit off for 2
consecutive innings. All players sit off before any player sits twice. All
players shall play equal time infield as outfield.
Miscellaneous info/rules
ALL RULES OF BC MINOR BASEBALL ASSOC. THAT DO NOT CONFLICT WITH THE RULES OF THIS DOCUMENT SHALL APPLY TO THIS TOURNAMENT.
1.
A 1st year pitcher (born 1998) must pitch the first inning.
(You may use more than one player)
2.
All players must wear helmets with a chin strap securely fastened
3.
All players must wear an athletic protector
4.
ALL
games shall have a 2 hour limit. No new inning
shall start after this time. In the event of a tie up to 1(one) extra inning may
be played if time permits. If game ends in tie 1 point will be awarded to
each team.
5.
There will be a 4 run limit per inning, except in the 5th OPEN inning
(declared by the plate umpire)
6.
The mercy rule will be implemented and the 5th inning not played if
the home team is behind by 12 runs or more after 4 innings. In the event the
home team is winning after the top of the 5th, they will not bat.
7.
A copy of your team line up must be given to the official scorekeeper (home
team) & copies to the plate umpire prior to the start of the game.
IN THE EVENT OF RAIN: ALL TEAMS MUST SHOW UP FOR THEIR SCHEDULED GAME UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTIFIED.

NO PLAYER IS TO RECEIVE THE MVP MORE THAN ONCE FOR THE TOURNAMENT.
